SOUTH Korea is to play host to a historical
peace summit being organised by the World Peace Delegation of Heavenly Culture,
World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL).

The two-day summit, which holds in Seoul,
from 17 - 18 September, is expected to have international politicians,
religious leaders, women’s and youth leaders in attendance for the World
Alliance of Religions’ Peace.
Organisers of the programme, Mr Man Hee Lee,
who is the chairman of HWPL alongside the chairwoman of the International
Women’s Peace Group (IWPG), along with representatives of the International
Peace Youth Group (“IPYG”), said the aim of the conference would be to
"pave the way for a peaceful future for our world."
To perfect plans for the conference, Mr Lee,
together with others, according HWPL release, have embarked on 13 tours around
the world to speak with and gather support from renowned leaders in both
secular and religious sectors of society.
"This September, all the people they
have met during their tours will gather in Seoul, to the World Alliance of
Religions’ Peace Summit which will be hosted by HWPL in conjunction with the
Institute for Cultural Diplomacy (“ICD”).
The Summit is set to take place over two
days, 17 - 18 September 2014, with a press-conference preceding it (16
September) and the largest display of coordinated youth action for peace - the
IPYG Walk for World Peace and Restoration 2014 - taking place on 19 September,"
HWPL said in a release.
The summit organisers said during the course
of the two day summit, more than 2,000 VIP guests will participate in
discussions on a variety of topics relating to religion and peace. "VIP
guests include former and current heads of state, prominent religious leaders,
academics, legislators, community leaders, youth, and women leaders from all
around the world," HWPL said.
